LifeWave Supporting Olympians

As the 2010 Winter Olympic Games quickly approaches (February 12-28), we would like to take this important opportunity to recognize and congratulate some of the Olympians that we have had the great privilege of supporting this year. Olympic hopefuls participating in the LifeWave Olympic Program received LifeWave patches FREE each month to enhance their training.

We are eager to see many athletes participating in the program move one step closer to achieving their Olympic dreams!

Michelle “Mickie” Rzepka and Erin Pac, represent the USA in Women’s Bobsled. Rzepka joined the World Cup circuit during her rookie year. In just two seasons, Rzepka has pushed her way to top ten finishes in seven of eight World Cup races. In January 2005, Pac was recognized along with the U.S. Women’s Bobsled Team as the USOC Team of the Month. In November, Rzepka and Pac won a bronze medal at the World Cup in Whistler, BC, home of the 2010 Olympics.

New to LifeWave is USA Bobsledder, Steve Langton. After watching the 2006 Olympic Games, he filled out an athlete resume online and attended a summer recruitment camp in Lake Placid, N.Y. It wasn’t long before he earned a spot on the World Cup circuit in his first competitive season and was named the 2008 Rookie of the Year.

Costanza Zanoletti and Skeleton teammate Maurizio Oioli from Italy finished 5th and 12th respectively at the 2006 Olympic Games. This year, they are Italy’s best chances to win a medal in Vancouver. While training in Lake Placid, N.Y., Oioli consulted Dr. Karen Kan regarding a chronic injury. At the time he was extremely worried that his Olympic hopes were dashed, but after using Lifewave IceWave for a couple of weeks, Skeleton coach Tim Nardiello exclaimed, “He’s FINE! He’s happy again.” In fact, the entire Italian Skeleton team got “patched” during their quick visit to Lake Placid.

Twenty-year-old Speed Skater, Trevor Marsicano, might be the fastest-rising American athlete heading into Vancouver. A year ago, he was a virtual unknown and in March became the first American to claim four medals at a World Single Distance Championships. Trevor heads into the 2010 Olympic Winter Games as one of the world’s best skaters.

We’d like to thank our LifeWave team based in Lake Placid, N.Y. and led by Karen Kan, M.D., for the opportunity to share our LifeWave patch technology with these elite athletes. Let’s all unite in sending positive vibes and cheering these athletes on to experiencing their best performances at the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games!
