For 5 exciting and action packed days, LifeWave leaders, staff and members from around the world joined Suzanne Somers and her team to commemorate 5 years of success and growth for our company! They celebrated LifeWave’s anniversary in style, cruising the Caribbean aboard a sleek new Italian cruise liner, the MSC Poesia. During the cruise, LifeWave members had opportunities for both leisure and business.

They took ample advantage of the cruise liner’s 18 decks to dance, dine, lounge, celebrate and meet one another. They also had a chance to hear the latest LifeWave business and product advancements. Off the ship, they explored the turquoise waters and tropical landscapes of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. But, most importantly, they had an opportunity to develop long-lasting friendships and invaluable camaraderie with one another!

Here are some of the highlights of this unforgettable LifeWave journey:

On November 10, the MSC Poesia embarked from Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., with great excitement, anticipation and celebration. Five years ago, on this very date, LifeWave embarked on its own journey – as a company. The LifeWave staff gathered that evening to celebrate the momentous occasion with a champagne toast. Later, LifeWave members assembled in the beautiful cruise liner theatre, the Teatro Carlo Felice, for a cruise welcome featuring Suzanne Somers, who gave a gracious welcome to LifeWave.

On November 11, Suzanne kicked off the day’s events with a presentation on Health and Hormones. David Schmidt, LifeWave Founder & CEO, joined her on stage for the first time to deliver a riveting talk on the impact of antioxidants on anti-aging. The speech not only sparked the interest of the crowd on hand, but word of LifeWave’s technology quickly spread to the rest of the cruise population who were keen to hear more throughout the duration of the cruise.

On November 12, the MSC Poesia docked in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, where the travelers had an opportunity to explore the island’s breathtaking landscape. One of the highlights of the stop was a trip to the Dunn’s River Falls, where several members climbed the falls and swam in the rushing waters.

That night, LifeWave held a VIP reception for top earners which was attended by a special guest, Suzanne Somers. Suzanne gave an address in which she expressed her enthusiasm for LifeWave and her excitement for co-hosting the cruise. Afterward, Suzanne graciously spent more than an hour posing for photographs with our members.

On November 13, the MSC Poesia arrived in Georgetown, Grand Cayman, where members explored the seemingly endless stretch of beach, toured the charming city and met underground sea creatures in crystal clear waters.

Later, back on the MSC Poesia, members gathered in the Pigalle Lounge where David presented the full launch of our revolutionary new weight loss system, SP6 Complete. After the debut of the new SP6 Complete product video, David opened the floor to questions and a thorough and informative discussion followed. We’ve received tremendous feedback on this new product and are enthusiastic to get SP6 Complete out to as many of our members as possible!

That evening, guests were treated to a special musical performance by Suzanne Somers in the Teatro Carlo Felice. The multi-talented actress, comedienne, health leader and singer captivated the crowd with a set of her favorite numbers. Suzanne also spoke about her mission to promote long life and health through natural, drug-free methods; she highlighted the role LifeWave has played in helping achieve that goal.

On November 14, the cruise wrapped up with the most powerful recognition event we have ever had. LifeWave had an opportunity to recognize those who have contributed most to building this business to new heights. Among those who were recognized were our leaders, our US and French Advisory Boards, as well as three of our founding distributors – George Hoagland, David Jumper and Chuck Michel. We also recognized our cruise contest winners, who earned an invitation to the cruise through hard work.

The recognition meeting culminated with the first presentation of the Richard Quick Pursuit of Excellence Award. June Quick, Richard’s wife, was invited to speak and, with tears in her eyes, she moved the audience with her elegant and eloquent words about the values that Richard stood for. Together, David and June then presented the Richard Quick Pursuit of Excellence Award to Presidential Director, Chuck Michel. In his acceptance speech, Chuck spoke not only about the virtues that Richard championed and instilled in those he touched, but also about the caring and concern Richard showed for him personally as he was launching his business.

But, that wasn’t the end of this momentous event. David was taken by surprise as his staff, with the enthusiastic support of our entire field, presented him with a commemorative crystal sculpture to celebrate LifeWave’s 5-year anniversary. Among those in attendance was David’s father, Felix Schmidt, who watched with pride. The recognition event was followed by a final dinner on the ship, celebration and dancing into the late hours!

If you ask those who attended the 5-Year Anniversary Cruise about what they got out of the trip, you might hear a few different answers. Our members had an opportunity for leisure, an opportunity to learn more about LifeWave and an opportunity to learn more about the world of alternative healthcare outside of LifeWave. The cruise also provided our members with a business opportunity as they introduced our products to the cruise population: David quips, “more LifeWave members got off the ship than got on.”

But one common thread emerges for all who attended the cruise: the trip presented an opportunity for members from all around the world (from Australia, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Iceland, Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Israel and Morocco, just to name a few!) to build strong relationships and long-lasting friendships. In many cases, individuals who have been working together for years and communicating by email, phone and Skype had an opportunity to meet face-to-face for the very first time!

It’s impossible to put a value on the exchange of ideas, positive experiences and relationships that developed as a result of this cruise. The event was such a success that we will surely be planning another for the future!
